Nash's First Birthday.
I was hired by my friend Jennifer to photograph a very special event this past weekend... her baby Nash's first birthday party! I love helping out my friends with photography and it was an honor to be asked to help her capture this important event in Nash's life.
Jenn had a Dr. Seuss theme for this party. The entire house was decked out with Dr. Seuss books, posters, and food! Check out the awesome green eggs and ham that the guests got to sample!
Nash was wearing some very cute Dr. Seuss clothes as well as the rest of the family. Each one besides Nash had a red Thing t-shirt. It was very cute of them to all get into the theme in such a fun way.
For entertainment, a magician came in to dazzle all the kids that attended the party. She came prepared with an assortment of tricks as well as balloons! Who doesn't like balloons?!?!?
Speaking of balloons, Nash seemed particularly interested in the large balloons near the fireplace. These weren't pre-planned shots, but they turned out perfect in capturing Nash's curiosity towards them. Sometimes it's just best to just watch and wait for those perfect moments!.
Moments between a mom and their child are precious, and since they grow up so fast it is very important to get those moments whenever possible!
I took quite a few cake smash photos, but this one was one of my favorites as it shows Nash going head first into his little cake. This cake didn't end up getting destroyed as Nash turned out to be a very gentle and polite eater. It was funny to see him pick off little bits of the cake one by one as he enjoyed it.
What a lovely family! Thanks to Jenn for having me come out today. I had a great time in the short while I was able to attend. Enjoy the photos!
