Grad Photos with Angela

I had a blast shooting with Angela on the campus of UC Davis. I don’t usually shoot graduation photos this early in the year, but Angela is someone who plans really far ahead. She came prepared with ideas and locations that she wanted to shoot at. As with all of my grad sessions, we were on campus for about an hour - but during that time we were able to get lots and lots and lots of awesome photos!

I’ve done many photoshoots on campus so mapping out a route to hit all her desired locations wasn’t too difficult. I pride myself on being very efficient with my time so that none is wasted. One of the great things about shooting grad photos this early is that nobody else is doing it, so we didn’t have to compete with others wanting to shoot at the same location.

The egg heads all over campus are iconic to UC Davis. I definitely recommend getting a photo or two with them as they really do let people know that Davis was your university. I love doing fun poses with these statues. Angela’s pose here is pretty traditional, but we have numerous other photos where she interacts more with it. Check out my Instagram for some of those shots and video.

Ahh, the icon UC Davis sign outside of Dutton hall. I’ve actually had to wait over 45 minutes in line for a shot with it. Thankfully, because of Angela’s early session, nobody was here. I took the traditional head on photo with the sign, but we also went to different angles to capture the sign in alternate ways.

Angela was amazing to work with and we were able to capture some really memorable grad photos. I love working with grads and getting them the best photos possible. Honestly, I’m probably a bit more expensive than some of the photogs you may find on a college forum somewhere, but I think the quality speaks for itself!
