Photo Sessions are Back!
With the whole world at a standstill due to COVID-19, photo sessions have been few and far between. Thankfully, with things opening up a bit, I’ve been able to start shooting again! Because COVID-19 is still a very real danger, it’s my policy to keep myself and my clients as safe as possible. I stay as far away from my clients as I can and I wear a face covering during the entire shoot.
Katie emailed me regarding a photo session with her family and I was excited to oblige. She has a beautiful family and they all came ready to shoot. Our session was scheduled for 6PM because of how bright it stays during this time of year. I love to shoot right at the golden hour to capture the best natural sunlight that I can. I think we were able to get some really precious moments during our time together.
Sessions with me last between an hour and and and hour and a half. Often times when there are kids involved the sessions are a bit shorter because they usually get tired of taking photos for too long. In this case I try to keep the kids as occupied and as excited as possible. I also try to make each photo fun and quick so we get the maximum number of shots possible.
Speaking of kids, sometimes the best moments are of the spontaneous variety. If I see a good photo, I’m going to go for it! Theses candids often become some of my favorite photos from the entire session. It’s so important to be ready with the camera at all times!
It was so great to be out shooting again. If you’re interested in getting some photography done, please let me know and we’ll book a session! Many openings are available currently!
